Owned and operated by Ashley Kester, Hometown Lactation is Richmond’s trusted resource for breastfeeding support and education. Ashley, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), is passionate about empowering families with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in their breastfeeding journey.
Hometown Lactation offers personalized consultations in the comfort of your home, virtually, or in-office, providing compassionate care tailored to each family’s unique needs. From addressing latch issues and milk supply concerns to offering guidance on pumping and weaning, Ashley ensures every parent feels supported every step of the way.

Ashley is truly caring towards her patients. UKs lactation team in my experience isn’t the best so i reached out to Ashley for my second breast feeding journey to salvage it. She went way above and beyond to make sure me and my baby achieved our goals. Even if your goal is exclusively pumping or needing help with ties, she is knowledgeable in all areas! She also has a large connection with other providers to recommend speech/feeding therapy, dentistry for tie releases, chiropractors, and supplements to help with all kinds of things.

Ashley is the sweetest person ever! She’s very gentle and patient with both mom and babies! If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have been able to hit my 6 month breastfeeding mark (and still going)!
